Gathering as God's people is essential both in our growth as Christians and in our obedience to Christ (Heb 10:24-25). Therefore we have several gatherings that are foundational to being a faithful member at Grace Evangelical Church, including our most important gathering during the week - our Worship Gathering on Friday mornings.
Every Friday morning before our Worship Gathering at 9:30 am, we offer our discipleship class to equip our members to live out the gospel at the workplace, at home, in our church body, and among the nations. Grace Foundations is an vital component to the ongoing discipleship of our members (Eph 4:11-16).
Every Friday morning at 10:30 am, we gather as a local church to glorify God through preaching, praying, and singing God's Word. Our Friday gathering is the foundation of all of that we do as as a church body.
Five times a year, we gather to deal with the business of the church including voting in members, hearing updates from our pastors, and to pray for one another. Grace Evangelical Church is a congregational church where the members have responsibility and authority to make decisions together under the leadership of our pastors.
We offer several Bible studies throughout the week, including Men's Study, Women's Study, and our weekly Monday Bible Study. We ask our members to commit to at least one Bible study during the week for continued growth in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God graciously and mysteriously has ordained the prayers of His people to be a means in order to accomplish His sovereign will on earth (Matt 6:9-12; Rev 8:3-5). Prayer is commanded by the Lord Jesus, vital for the health of the church, and the advance of God's kingdom to the ends of the earth (Rom 12:12; 1 Thess 5:17).
First and foremost, Christians must daily call upon the Lord for our growth in godliness (Eph 3:14-21; Col 1:9-12). Therefore, each member of Grace Evangelical Church must commit to pray for their own sanctification (Rom 12:12; Col 4:2).
Praying for one another in our church body is one of God's means for us to bear one another's burdens, to guard our unity, and to keep us walking in the truths of the gospel (James 5:13-16). Therefore, faithfulness as a member of Grace Evangelical Church includes praying for one another.
We are commanded as Christians to pray for the gospel to spread to the ends of the for God's glory (Rom 10:1; 1 Tim 2:1-6). Therefore, we at Grace Church pray both individually and corporately for our witness and for those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord.
At Grace Evangelical Church, members commit to contribute cheerfully, generously and regularly to the support of the ministry and expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations (Matt 28:19; Luke 12:33; 2 Cor 9:7). 4. Commit to Loving Relationships
Christians are to be devoted to one another in brotherly love as we patiently bear, forgive, encourage and build one another up (Rom 12:10). At Grace Evangelical Church, we exercise watchfulness over each others' souls by pursuing God exulting relationships in the way we intentionally seek out one another, humbly speak the gospel truth to one another, and exhort one another to remain faithful to Christ in all that we do (1 Thes 5:11; Heb 3:12-14).
